Federal Judge Rules That Hillary Must Testify In Lawsuit Related To Email Scandal

While most of the news media has dialed in on the Coronavirus pandemic and the past week of nationwide unrest — which consisted of violent riots in cities across America — bombshell news about 2016 presidential candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton probably didn’t garner the attention it deserved. According to CNBC, Clinton was ordered to testify in a deposition related to a lawsuit in connection with the email scandal that many argue sunk her 2016 presidential chances against President Donald Trump.

“It is time to hear directly from Secretary Clinton,” Judge Royce Lamberth said in his ruling on the matter.
Taking it further, Judge Lamberth added, “As extensive as the existing record is, it does not sufficiently explain Secretary Clinton’s state of mind when she decided it would be an acceptable practice to set up and use a private server to conduct State Department business.”
At least somewhat luckily for Clinton, his ruling will limit questions that opposing lawyers can ask to “her reasons for using a private server and her understanding of State’s records management obligations.”
